We were asked to visit Nemasu in 2007. When we arrived the school there were 66 children cramped into a tiny rented room. As we were unable to improve the existing facility, the Trust bought a piece of land and built a new 2 classroom nursery school which opened in 2008.
Since that time the Trust has added a perimeter wall, four toilets and a kitchen in order to provide lunch to the 120 children on the school roll. The school is run by the headmaster, Mr Sallah, with two teachers, Abdou and Momodou.
The Trust are also sponsoring the 2 teachers to attend the Early Child Development Course
held over 3 years, and have introduced drumming lessons.
We are building a much needed well near Nemasu school which will benefit the whole village. You can see pictures below of the well and the extension to playground and extra classroom at Nemasu school.
