This is our first school link project. Immanuel Community College in Bradford have raised the money to enable the Trust to build its second library.
In 2006, the College organised a trip of 22 students and 10 teachers to this school, at Easter. They were able actively to take part in the completion of the library and also reroofing the school building
Over 3 days they helped to paint and stock the library. They also painted three classrooms.
Immanuel School continues to support this school through a links project. Staff and students will visit the school again this Easter. Watch this space for the latest news.
The Trust facilitated a visit by pupils at Immanuel School, Bradford to Minte Kunda School on the North side of the River Gambia. They assisted in refurbishing the schools buildings and established strong links with the pupils there. Previously the school had had no sports equipment and as a result no sporting activities. Immanuel School helped deliver a shipment of sports gear and started sports training programmes. Minte Kunda School now provides activities in hockey, rugby, football, cricket and rounders
